Firstly, we’d like to say a big thank you to you all for your lovely comments, and words of encouragement, and your patience over the last few months. Lots of you have been in touch asking the million dollar question of when we would be open and we are pleased to say we are now fully open, our first day having been Wednesday, 31st July.
The Hovingham Inn has undergone an intensive, full transformation, to bring it up to date while retaining the traditional feel of an old country inn. We have a new cellar and a brand new kitchen for Richard and his new chef. Those of you familiar with the old Malt Shovel will see a huge difference, but the pub’s best features have been sympathetically restored.
You are more than welcome to bring your dogs into the bar area, and children are welcome throughout the pub. You can dine in the bar, or the dining room, but we would ask that bookings be made in advance as and when you wish to eat with us.
